A VPN or proxy warning on the Earn page means the survey providers refused to serve inventory to your connection — not that your account is banned. Researchers buy location-specific opinions, so masked or datacenter-routed traffic is worthless to them and gets filtered automatically.

What triggers the warning besides VPN apps

  • iCloud Private Relay and browser VPN features left on.
  • School, office, or mobile-carrier NAT exits flagged as hosting ranges.
  • Tor or datacenter IPs from cloud gaming and remote-desktop sessions.

The safe fix

Turn the VPN or relay fully off (pausing is not enough), disconnect remote-desktop routing, and reload the Earn page on your direct home or mobile connection. Then use the 'show surveys anyway' path once — provider-side fraud checks still apply to completions, so a clean connection is what actually earns.

What not to do

Do not hop VPN countries chasing better inventory: region-hopping is itself a fraud signal and can void pending credits across both walls. If the warning persists on a clean connection, contact support with your network type rather than masking it.
